About Safet Musinovic

 

I am a realist painter.I find inspiration in a variety subjects but my greatest

passion is to create works of fine art that impact the viewer both visually

and emotionally.

With experiance in two years of private Atelier training and ongoing drawing

from direct observation  i'm able to capture a strong  and believable resemblance of the subject in variety of mediums.

Drawing is the foundation upon which I build exploring composition,honing

skills of observation and solving problems-all in preparation for the moment

when brush meets canvas.

I work primarily from life for my subject matter -figure,portrait,landscape

or still life-and use  photographic reference only when necessery.

I am influeced by works of many artist of the past such as Sargent,Lepage

Gerome,Lafabvre,Alma-Tadema just to name a few.

My passion is classical figurative drawing and painting in which I employ similar

methods of old masters while developing my own visual  voice and style.
